I like the weirdness of the Rover/Sterling 800-series, but what dream are they talking about here exactly?
Now, who has a COTD nomination?

At the time the Rover 800 and the Honda Legend were pretty awesome cars, here in Europe cars like this was pretty much the business executives dream. A big car, it had everything you'd ever want without being a BMW. I guess you must be a kid of the seventies or the eighties to understand how awesome this car was, but when my dad bought a 1986 Honda Legend in 1990 I was so stoked you won't even believe it. I was THE car, it had EVERYTHING and more. This car was a dream car when released, today we simply scoff at it, but at the time it was a pretty friggin' awesome car.

My dad leased a Sterling 825 SL in like '87 or '88 as a company car. It made numerous visits to the shop, but I remember being about 5 or 6 and very impressed with the super cool power seat adjuster buttons on the center console near the parking brake.
A couple years later he ended up getting a '90 Acura Legend LS coupe. Which was very reliable and became my car when I got my driver's license in '98.

Both the Chip Foose and Demuro's articles have some nice topics. Heck, it's been a pretty good day. I think you'll find something.
